Default Pacesetter Header Install

Need a question answered. Putting the pacesetters in. Driver side done and no issues. Passenger side...the collector is hitting the heat shield not allowing the bolt holes to line up. I removed it and now they line up. Question is can i leave the shield off and just bfh the floor pan a little to make more clearance?
Will this cause any heat issues?

That's weird... usually the passenger side headers fits in like a hotdog down a hallway...

I don't know, maybe its different on each car. My driver's side went right in with no problems ceptshaving a little off the casting tab. The passenger side gave me a little trouble: had to jack it up a few more inches, took off that heat shield and a little clearencing with the bfh and its good. I should have done this a long time ago, those long tubes really wake up the car!

WTF.
My passenger side is retarded.
Driver side needs a little bit of work.
But that God damn passenger side...

Passenger side takes patience once you get the header in and start putting things back together. Fortunately my wife likes to wrench and she helped out alot with her little hands and small arms! Made life alot easier!
