Default Ticking noise after headers install

I have a ticking noise on startup after my header install its coming from my Y-Pipe. Any ideas? Along with that when I changed out the headers I have noticed a wierd sounds coming when I hit the gas. It only happens when the idle is low when I'm driving trying to save a little gas. It sounds a little squeky when you hit the gas hard. Any ideas on that as well?

It's an exhaust leak. What clamps did you use for the y pipe?

I used the leak proof V band clamps.

check the clearance between headers/block and headers/k-member. could be rubbing when the motor twists under power. happened to my friends 02TA when we put in his LPP longtubes. u couldnt hear any squeaking while driving (longtubes, ory, slp lm1.....couldnt hear anything ), but with the car on the lift if if u moved the exhaust/motor u would hear it squeak. we were gonna notch the k member and block when we did the poly motor mounts, but when we got the mounts in it fixed the problem.

good luck. stupid exhaust problems can make u wanna

Ticking noise could be a loose plug. Pop the hood with engine running and touch the plug wires. If you feel it pulsing through the wire then tighten the plug down or snap the wire back on.

i'd put money on an exhaust leak, but this is good info for future troubleshooting
