Default Pinpointing leaking fuel injector

I am working on my brother's car. He has a 2002 c5. The car cranks fine but doesn't start right away when warm. No issues otherwise.

After much troubleshooting, I have good reason to believe that an injector slowly leaks after the car is shut off. How would I go about pinpointing which injector is leaking? Any help is appreciated.

thanks
Joe

Send out the injectors to a shop that can test/flow/clean/repair.

OR pull a head and inspect pistions.

OR get a new set of the exact same injector (year specific stockers or whatever he has) and see if the issue clears.

Unbolt the fuel rail and lift it out of the intake with the fuel line still connected. Turn the
key to the on position and the fuel pump will prime. See which one is dripping.

if theres puddling on the intake, it means it could just be a torn o-ring.
it may not leak when its running, but as soon as shut off it will puddle

Try moving the IAT sensor out of the engine bay. That (heat
soak) seems to be a real problem. If it will hot-start immediately
after parking, but not after park and sit for 15 minutes, that's
your pony.

True, it could be a programming issue as well.

I had the same issue and it turned out to be the fuel pump. The check valve in it stopped working properly and it would not hold pressure when the car was off. Not sure if the vette pump is the same way but I would guess it is.

If you can get a fuel pressure gauge on the rail, and have rubber connection hoses, crimp off the pressure hose and watch the pressure. If it drops, leaky injector. If not you'll have to crimp at the fuel regulator return / filter inlet, both lines. Pressure drop on removing the return crimp = bad regulator. Drop on removing the feed line = bad check valve in pump. I have had to warm up injectors (with a hair dryer) with the fuel rail out to find an injector that only leaked warm.

PS, usually if its a leaky injector you'll get a puff of black smoke and a rough idle for a moment until the one cylinder clears itself of the rich mixture.
