lifting motor, what to watch for?

Default lifting motor, what to watch for?

im gonna be lifting my motor to do motor mounts, only one at a time, what doi need to be careful of?

Its pretty simple, nothing to really watch out for except having it fall on you. I didnot lift anything to do mine, but I did have it hooked up so it wouldn't fall when I removed the motor mount.

yeah im gonna do headers and just support the motor when im doing the mounts

Be careful when doing the drivers side that you dont lift the motor too far as you can pull off one of the lines to the power steering pump that runs between the pump and the steering rack. This happened to me when installing some longtubes on my car and it was a real mess

hmmm, ill have to check that, i still had the other side of the motor mounted up shoudl i be ok? plus i have the slp STB so it cant go up that far.....

First you take off the strut tower brace.I just support the vehicle on jack stands then use a jack and piece of wood and jack the engine up by the oil pan.Changed my K-member that way.
