Default Help,revese jump start problem question!!!

My friend called me up earlier tonight and told me he jumpstarted his car the wrong way(positive to negative and negative to positive) and the problem he has is all his gauges and radio isnt working but the car starts? I have never heard of this before. He needs help so please, Im sure someone has done this before or knows what the deal is and what there is to fix.....Please any info appreciated.

Start checking fuses.

yep I say a couple of fuses blew

Pray it is a couple of fuses.

Solid state componets are not fond of reverse polarity.
