Default A couple of questions on manifold swap

Hey guys about half way through my swap and I just ran into a few more road blocks. First when converting to LS6 air bleed coolant lines and the block offs in the back, Do you need the little shims that go between the block and the pipe? Second, I am using a Weiand, (I know ls6 is better) I am using the felpro seal o print gaskets, can I use RTV on the block side and let it tack up to stop it from sliding?

Any help would be appreciated

Zach

Yes you need the "shim", it's the gasket for the plugs. It won't hurt it if you use the RTV to hold the gaskets in place

Not second guessing you, just making sure I gave all of the information. I forgot to mention that my replacement ls6 pipes had o rings on them, so that would make 2 sets of o rings on one plug. Still necessary?

They look like these..http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Corve...Q5fAccessories

Once again just making sure

If the new set already had the o-ring installed then you'll be fine. And no you don't need both sets on one plug

Thanks man, It was just a big pain in the a$$ to get that manifold off, I just don't want to get it all hooked up and have leaks everywhere. First time want to do it right even if it means asking stupid questions.
