Default Alarm/Power

figured the forum was worth a shot.

Just got up to go to work... I have the stock alarm still on my car.

(Funny thing is I was going to go replace it today. )

2001 Camaro SS.

Used the factory key to open the door, put my key in to start the car, held down the clutch. The alarm started going off. Of course, now I'm fully awake. For those that know with the stock alarm all you need to do in fact is put the ignition into the power position to quell the alarm system. So here I am at 615 in the morning with my alarm going off with a pair of channel locks undoing my battery terminal. ... now only thing is I have the car in NY City right now and there was a decent frost and it dropped to about 30 degrees over night. So, again .. car isnt registering that my key is in the ignition.

Just curious if anyone has ran into this before.

Plan of action so far: Thaw the frost. Find wiring for alarm horn (hopefully disconnect). Reconnect battery.
