Default Rattling noise?

Installed Pacesetter LT headers and now theres a rattling sound like the headers or Y-pipe are hitting the floor board under the drivers side.
Is it necessary to hammer the inside of the car (driver's side) to eliminate that hollow spot OR is there another way to get rid of the noise??
Thanks

First thing is find exactly what and where its hitting.

My hookers hit the k member on the driver side and I had to notch it out a bit.

Curt, easiest thing for you is to mark on the y-pipe where its hitting and take it off and dent it with heat and a hammer.

I would try a set of poly motor and trans mounts first that fixed the banging problem I was having

The best bet would have been poly motor mounts when installing the headers but after they are on it's a PITA to change motor mounts.

Is it rattling or hitting the floor board under acceleration?

I went with the Mufflex LS1-HR hanger and it cured the problem I had with these same headers and y-pipe.

Just pry your y-pipe away from the floorboard with a crowbar (I put a muffler rubber in there to hold it at first) and then in stall the hanger.

Then take the rubber out. Problem solved.
