Im doing true duals here very soon and I have a very raspy exhaust right now and I hate it! So im looking for a good TD set up that will have a nice deep muscle car sound. Looking for some good inputs on whats been used and "works". TIA!

Thank you search police...Ive gone through that but wanted to hear from peeps with ONLY a deep sound and maybe get some advice while at it. This area is going to get a lot more traffic then the sticky. Forgive me for starting a whole new thread...

I'm running a 3" x-pipe with magnaflow metal core cats and these mufflers: http://www.classicchambered.com/ but without the crimping. They call those powerpack mufflers instead of powerstick. It is very very deep

I have zero rasp now with my TD's. Before, with the LT's ORY and Borla catback it sounded like a around 2000 RPM. Could not stand it.

The TD's along with a crossover pipe will remove all the rasp.

I also have the deep tone you are asking about with the Magnaflow dual in/out muffler in the stock location.

I have sound clips on page 30 of the TD sticky:

Nope, he stated he read all 32 pages and he didnt find anything that appealed to him. so surely he's already seen your clip on page 30.

Thanks for keeping my thread going...i love trolls like you, you go out of your way to talk ****...what ever, and I love how your putting words in my mouth too...never said I READ all 32 pages jack ***. Point of this thread is to hear from peeps WITH ONLY a deep sound...so it makes sense to make a new thread to maybe get the answers or advice I'm looking for so go pull someone else over. As you can see...I'm getting some good response that are helping me out...isn't that the point of this forum.

jimmypop...those look pretty interesting. Only thing is they look to be pretty long too..just curious what kind of #'s/track times are you making with your set up, your cam specs are kind of similar to the ms3 which I run and I have fast90 and 3.90s as well. You got any pics of your set up from under the car?

wrd1972...that is such a clean set up you got there. I did see yours when I was going THROUGH that thread but I'm such a shitty connection it rarely works to play a vid...I just tried again and it didn't but I really want to hear that set up cause that's the other way Im thinking of going with a magnaflow dual in/out muffler, Ive been hear a lot of good things about there mufflers and there magnapack bullet style as well.

senical - thanks for posting that link. I got one of the vids to start to play after like 5 min but it kept cutting out...Im gonna try later to see if I can get it to pull up, it didnt sound to bad though for the little part of the T/A taking off on the street. Only thing is Im probably looking to go all the way out over the axle, I really dont want it dumped and thats what there set up is.

Thanks for the great advice guys! Im starting to get it narrowed down.

2000 SS...well I think the connection is getting better here cause I was actually able to view your vid, sounds pretty good. I see you went H-pipe style and not X-pipe. Why did you do that? That's another thing Im considering too. Ive heard the X will savage better but the H will sound deeper?? Like I mentioned before Im going to go over the axle and out the back with my set up but on a camaro I would dump it for sure, I think maros just look better dumped unless they do the CME tips. Anyway, what cam/heads is that...you seem to have a similar problem as mine where the exhaust does some searching when you start it or rev it, I could hear it searching real bad at the end of your vid, mine does that **** too.

I have TSP duals with dynomax bullets and its very deep. I had custom duals before this with the same mufflers and it was also very deep. A lot of people have told me that i have the best sounding ls1 they've ever heard. I have a cam of course so it lopes pretty hard
