question on asp alt pulleys (need help asap)

Exclamation question on asp alt pulleys (need help asap)

is the asp underdrive alt pulley LARGER than the stock pulley???

or is the asp overdrive alt pulley larger than the stock pulley???



also how the **** do i get the stock alt pulley off?? no matter how hard it turn to the left the thing wont budge

The undredrive pulley is larger. I tried looking up the pulley removal but there are no serviceable parts so it's not listed - sorry.

On my Lt1, we had to use an impact wrench to get the bolt loose on the alternator pulley. It came off pretty easily. BTW, the overdrive alternator pulley is smaller.

Overdrive alternator is smaller. Grab the stock one on the alternator, grasp firmly and hit it with an impact wrench. It'll spin right off and your hands will be fine! Use a rag to hold it, too.

no impact wrench, but i got it off (probably not the best way, but its off)


tp get it on ill probably just use the belt and my hands for as much tension as possible and load it up with loctite and tighten it down as much as possible with out it turning

would that work ok, or is an impact totally necessay
