Default Instilation Costs

i just ordered the pacesetter headers with the off road pipe. How much money would it cost to have that all installed? Also suggest good shops would be great i am from MN

atleast $200 maybe double

Its really impossible to answer a question like this as all shops charge different rates, and some shops are faster/better than others. You can save yourself a lot of money doing it yourself, all it takes are basic tools and a day of work.

For the price of install you could buy the tools and do it your self. You would save money, have tools to show for it and have the satisfaction of doing it your self.

you could buy a tool set and cheap box for the dough it would cost in most cases

i agree with all the people who said do it yourself. it amazes me how quick people are willing to just throw there money away and underestimate there ablitlity to do there own work. all you need is some basic hand tools, jack/jack stands, and patiences.

but if you have 300+ to have someone else do it they by all means go for it, but that 300+ could go toward a new cam or something :shrug:

Yea I installed everyting myself so far and it was nice having the satisfaction of doin it. I have tools but do u need a lift and what are the tough parts about installing the headers?

no you dont need a lift. like i said, all you need is jack/jack stands and basic hand tools. thats it. access to a lift is a very nice plus but its not neccessry. do a search as there are several threads pertaining to LT installs. depending on what brand you go with will determine the kind of problems that may arise. for the most parts its pretty straight forward.

A good idea would be to meet up with some people from the board ,get in good with them and then make em help ya. I bet youd be supprised how many people here do 90% fo their own repairs and up grades.

ok... i installed my nitrous by myself which i found the hardest to do of my mods. That engine bay looks so crammed, but i will attempt to install them. IF anyone is from the Twin Cities area and want to help just post. thanks
