When you tried the first cranking, were the front O2's connected? If not, the car would run real rough when it warmed up...if at all. The front O2's control most of the A/F issues.

i have a similiar problem also. i have dual cutouts on the y-pipe and one one the i-pipe and when i try to start the car with the cutouts open its harder to stay idled.

Every time you disconnect the Battery with mods like cam or headers minus y-pipe or such you will have idle issues.

Just do the idle relearn procedure.
I have pacesetter headers, cam and full cat back exhaust and the car willl not idle after the bat disconnect. I have to keep my foot on the gas at about 1200 to 1500 until the car goes close loop and then it will idle enough to do the relearn.

Good Luck

Yep, your idle info had to be relearned by the PCM.

The rear O2 sensors have nothing to do with it whether you deprogrammed them or not.
