Default 2.5'' dual setup, better then 3''y with 2.5'' tail pipes

im planning on an over the axle dual setup. my question is, does a 2.5'' all the way from the x pipe to the tail pipes flow enough? comparable to a3'' y pipe with 2.5'' tail pipes? my guess is that it does flow better, any input. and yes i searched but i couldnt find any answer to my particular question.

Yes, they will flow better than one 3". Run a search for David Vizard. You will find lots of exhaust info and some quotes from his book that say how much different size pipes can flow

just look at the crosse sectional area:

single 3" = 7.07 sq inches
dual 2.5" = 9.82 sq inches

28% increase

yes it will! but you'll also gain abit more from having them run under the axle as opposed to over the axle . . . unless your planning on running cut-outs in which case wont matter
