Default SLP air lid

So I've got a heads cam car that had the stock intake manifold forward on it. Just swapped out the throttle body for a ported/polished/taper bored version, air bellow, air lid, and large maf w/o screen. Gave me a solid kick in the pants.

My question comes from a moment of zen I had; hair dryer propped up on the air lid, and a 2x4 on top of the maf getting smacked with a hammer. Eventually, I may have to repeat that process. Is there a better way to do it?

Your way was milder than mine. I heated my lid over the kitchen stove
and rammed it on.
