Default Need Help with American racing Headers

Hi, and Thanks for stoppin in,

I am going to order a set of 1 7/8" X 3" American Racing headers
"For my 03 Z06 corvette next week and thought I would ask the forums ,

How can I tye them into my existing H-pipe and catalytic converters,

My reasons are this:

1.Mod money is tight for now
2.I want to have them jethot coated as well which = more $$$$
3.I don't want to throw codes before reaching the tuner=more $$$$$
4.Don't want to buy rear 02 extentions because tuner is going to tune them out
I am buying american racing because #1 they make good power 2# and most important is they are tailor made for my car and fit like a glove

Any and all comments welcome as well as links that may pertain to my situation,

Thanks, So. Cal Bon

The only way I can think of is to have an exhaust shop build some kind of connection pipes to connect the two. You will probably have to cut part of the H-pipe off to give you enough room to connect the two. With the collector location being further under the car, the OE connection more than likely won't work.

If you are having the codes for the rear O2 sensors deleted, I wouldn't worry about the car throwing codes before you get it tuned. Just leave the rear sensors out of the car. The rear sensors shouldn't make the car run poorly or hurt anything before you get it tuned. I would just take it to your tuner and have them turn the code off and be done with it.

Let me know if we can get you fixed up with a set of headers. We are an ARH dealer and we shouldn't have a problem price matching just about anyone's pricing!

Hey Thanks for the response Jon,

The headers arrived yesterday from ARH
I drove em out to the HotCoating place yesterday as well
We have a place here in town that HotCoats parts for Jet aircraft and they told me bring em on in so I saved myself some time and money going with a local place,

I am going to do an aluminized patch for the time being,(Thanks for the tuner info) A local shop told me they'd do it for $25 and I'll run that till my 3" titanium pipe comes in at which time I will fab up a ti mid section to save some weight and I need something for me too ooogle At while I'm laying under the car

All the best to you and your Crew at Texas Speed !

Bon
