Default Air/ EGR delete ok to drive with codes?

I'm going to delete the air and egr this winter. Is it ok to drive the car after I do this? I'll be going to Speed Inc for a dyno tune in spring.

Yeah it should be fine to drive with the light on. It shouldn't affect the way the car drives. It will just turn the light on. Just have them delete the code when they tune the car.

it wont hurt. the only that sucks is that fact that if you get another code, something more serious, you wont know about it because youll have a steady SES light from the air/egr codes.

That's a good point. If you wanted to just turn the codes off, you could shoot us the PCM and we can do a code delete for $75. I want to say the O2 sims everyone sold were like $89.99 so the pricing by the time you get shipping should be pretty similar. It would take care of all the basic codes for you.

Same here I've been driving with the ses light on from having headers, air/egr delete and have not noticed a difference in driving. I have a scanner to scan for codes but later plan on getting them deleted for good.

^^^What? Throwing codes doesn't affect gas mileage unless the codes actually means somethings wrong. If it's reading the rear o2's are bad and the AIR/EGR arent working properly, and you know this because you took them off, then the car isn't going to run any different with codes on your computer.

I'll be taking off the air and egr over the winter. The only time I'll drive the car is in spring when I go to Speed Inc. I store my car over the winter. That's when I'll be working on it the most!
