Default do i need new wires

are my headers going to burn up my spark plug wires or will they be fine?

Its a pretty good chance without the heatsheild, they will melt the boots..

Maybe try some header wrap for now?

your wires will only burn up if they actually make contact with the header, like any other wire. Wires can come close to the headers and be fine.
ALthough, If you have the Stock wires still, purchase some good after market wires like MSD, because there will be more heat down and i think the stock wires are weak.
you might also change plugs as well.

i have the msds and my 2nd cyl wire on the pass side hit the egr tube, but hell i ran it for a week and didnt even start to mealt, just put heat wrap on that wire and its fine. u only need about 4 inches of it so ask around.
