Default Ignition Coils?

I'm lookin at replacing my ignition coils when i do my H/C swap and i'm lookin for experience with coil packs. reason i ask is cause the car is at 164K and the startin isn't what it used to be and it does feel like the car has lost a good amount of power in the last 100K lol and since i'll be throwing on new heads, new cam, new valvetrain and new plugs and wires should i go ahead and throw on new coils and which ones are best as mine are at a high mielage? if it's needed the cam is the TR227/224 with 241 heads

nothing is better then stock! The truck coil are a little better then the car coils. I would just keep using yours till they go out. They are good for a long time! I know people with over 200+k miles and still strong I have 125k on mine ans still good! I painted mine and it was hard to get them painted to.

I have the D585 truck coils on my car. I didn't notice a huge difference, but I say its worth it.

Those coils are super reliable. And yes coils can loose spark energy over time. Gm closed wafer coils are very reliable.

I have the D585s and noticed the throttle response was more crisp and the engine seems smoother at WOT etc. I definitely think they are worth it!
