Thumbs up I need a VERY QUIET MUFFLER!

I'm looking to replace the stock muffler, but when the cutout is capped, I want QUIET. Does anyone know of a muffler that's even quieter than stock, or a good LIKE STOCK replacement? Thanks!

A hooker catback is very quiet, so I believe the muffler has got to be quiet.

A hooker CB is definately not quiet! No where close to stock, the aero chamber muffler flows really well, and has a raw sound too it. If your looking for a "stock" type replacemenet. Go get an edelbrock muffler, the are constructed real strong, but tend to be very quiet. Their catback run cheap too, so you could even go that route, I think they are around $275.

Check out the SLP Dual/Dual muffler. I think there's one on ebay right now.

SLP Dual Dual catback is only slightly louder(deeper) than the stock Z28 and quiter than a stock SS/WS6 exhaust.

Why not just bolt on a used (dirt cheap) stock SS exhaust then have a cutout to allow the flow when needed.

When I had the same setup (electric cutout and quiet muffler) I used a dynomax ultraflow. They flow well and was barely louder than stock, even with longtubes.

Dynomax ultraflow is a straight through design. They were WAY too loud on my 496 BBC so I went with the longest Magnaflow I could find and that helped ALOT. For a super quiet muffler, I'd just go with something close to OEM and as suggested above, go to Midas or somewhere similar. You'll lose hp but I doubt you care since you got cut outs.

Get a SLP Dual Dual muffler and you will love it as it is everything you describe that you're looking for. At idle with my setup it provides a deep throaty burble. Cruising it provides a deep throaty note and at WOT it really opens up and screams.

What's exactly why I got an SLP dual/dual for my T/A and would like to get one for the RS. It's quiet my heads and cam T/A with no cats and SLP Dual/Dual is quieter at idle than my wifes 02 Z28 with a loud catback. We've compared them side by side.

Just find a stock SS/WS6 muffler, or a Dual/Dual catback. The D/D flows better, those are the 2 quietest mufflers for an F-body.
