Default Car not starting sporadically

So I have a 2000 SS with an M6, and now sometimes when I go to start the car (clutch pedal depressed of course), nothing will happen when I turn the key. It acts basically like if you try to start the car when the clutch pedal isn't depressed. The gauges move just like when it's starting, but nothing happens, no starter sound.

It's not the battery as the gauges show a full battery and all the electronics work. Also I know it's not the battery because if I wait a minute and try to start the car again it works fine.

Any ideas?

My old Camaro used to do the same thing. It was something w/ the sensor that let the ignition know the pedal was pushed in. I could never actually find the sensor so I just got to the point where I would hold the key to start & slowly press in the clutch till it would start. Next time it does it just release the pedal slowly and if it starts then you know it's that.

Pardon my lack of electrical knowledge, how do I check the starter relay?

Anyone know where the clutch pedal position sensor is?

Your neutral safety switch is connected to the clutch pedal assembly.

If your starter solenoid is going out usually you will hear it just click when you attempt to start your car. Not sure if the above post was referring to that or one of the relays in your fuse block under your hood.

So do I need to take down the panel over the clutch to access this stuff?

There are no clicks. Either nothing happens when I turn the key or it starts perfectly.

You can get to it without removing that panel. Its at the top of the clutch pedal itself.

Could be your immobilizer acting up. Do you use a key to open the door of the fob. My corvettes always had some issues if the fob wasn't used to unlock the car.

I have never heard of the immobilizer, but I always use the fob to open the door so I guess that doesn't matter.

Any chance you have a security light on in the dash? If so you probably have a Passlock issue.
