Default gm 85 mm maf vs. slp maf etc. etc.

so i did some searching, basically all i could figure out was that an aftermarket maf was calibrated? i thought calibration was done with the computer, not the maf?

whats better, getting the stock 85 mm maf from partstaxi.com for $160 or paying $190 for a rebadged unit, IF there is a difference, what is it?

p.s. if anyone else is looking into this, slp has there version on sale for like 175... i think all my references are sponsors on here still.

car is a ls3'd trans am, its been dyno tuned, but dont mind doing it again, from my understanding its free retunes for life, only pay dyno time. ftp 85 or 104mm lid in the future.

also was planning on a custom ls7 card maf, decided against it because of scaling and all kinds of horror stories...

Ya, what he said, Ebay.

I have not had any problems with idle and that is the first I have heard of an issue with the Holley TB.

My new cam is a 234/246 114+3 and I have had it down to 750 but decided 800 was a little better.
