ignition problem
my car all of the sudden will not start
when you turn the key over it does nothing at all
i checked and charged the brand new battery and even put a new starter on and checked all the fuses
well last night i was digging around in the dash and noticed a big black box that was clicking when i turned over the key so i unplugged it,the car still wont start but the digital odometer that hasnt been working will come back
on when the box is unplugged(the box is a drl module)
so 2 questions here
1. do you think this black box(i assume its a relay) is going bad and thats why the odometer doesnt work
2.do you think this has anything to do with my starting problem

That sounds like your problem then. The VATS is probably preventing the car from starting. Perhaps the resistor in the key is causing the problem, or something went wrong when you tried to disable the VATS system in HP Tuners. Someone who has more experience with HP Tuners may able to help more with that.

no i havent had it since new but i dont think it has had any keyless start or alarm on it
im going to try the resisitor method, some people still had to do that even though they killed the vats system
yeah me and the guys at hp tuners went through a few different things with killing the vats so im pretty positive it is all disabled correctly

i have been having similar issues with my car and the VATS system.. i have not turned the system off yet, however if you do end up doing the resisitor method let me know how it goes in case i will be doing the same
