Default Can i use longer vette o2s for front o2s?

I have long tube headers and I honestly did a crappy job splicing my o2 sensors. Just wasn't weatherproofed that well and I have issues with water.

I heard that you can use o2 sensors off of a c5 that are long enough to not extend (front or rear?) and they work fine for front o2 sensors. Can anyone explain this to me and/or give me a part number.

+1 what unertl42 said. But their are mixed reviews on them. Some people say they are a hit or miss.

a/c delcos would be the best bet. I've used several pair of Bosch 13111's and finally got a wideband and found they are slow on my modified car. They were switching at 16:1 afr. I'm betting many people have this same problem but don't realize it because their afr is probably only checked at WOT on a dyno where it doesn't matter if your o2's are bad. I uped the switch points in my tune to get them in line but they are still slow to respond and switch between 14.7-15.2:1. The car runs much better in open loop.
I definitely recommend getting either the stock o2's from a/c delco and either extending them yourself or getting extensions, or getting the rear corvette a/c delco o2's.

I use the Bosh ones as well, they have a lifetime guarantee so why not just take em back if they don't work out? Mine have been fine since day one 3 years ago.

I have stock 02 f-body manifolds on my LS6 right now and want to replace the sensors..I'm looking at NTK #21537 for rear corvette as I'm getting ceramic coated long tubes after the motor is broken in and I have the ca$h. Will the longer wires just hang a little on stock manifolds and are they the exact same sensor as front F-bodies?

They are rediculously long. You will need to zip tie them out of the way no matter stock manifolds or LTs.

Have always used the C5 O2s without a problem, for years.

btw the code I'm getting now is P0133-Oxygen Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank1, Sensor1)
* The oxygen sensor is faulty
* The wiring to the sensor is broken / frayed
* There is an exhaust leak

I had the pcm tuned by pcmforless for a stock LS6 with no air egr, or cats. the code has been there atleast since the cats were deleted with straight pipes(last week) the ses light has been on since startup but I thought it was for a bad cat as thats what I had before.

That code you are getting if for the front driver's side(i think) 02. You had the cats deleted which means they deleted the rear 02's so you shouldn't get a cat code. You could try cleaning it or switch to the other side and see if the code foloows it. Then you will know for sure.

I switched left front and rear o2's and still get the code. I do have a tiny exhaust leak right by the straight pipe that replaced the cat on the left side so I don't know if that's causing it or not. I'm waiting on a muffler to take it back to the mechanic to install and fix the leak.

After running full time open loop for about a year because of O2 codes, I bought a pair of used C5 rears and installed them. They are a little long but zip tie up out of the way nicely. I've been back in closed loop for about a week now. So far, no codes, but we'll see.

what brand did you purchase?? if nothing else try swaping sensors side to side and see if the code flips. then you will know if you have a bad sensor or not.
