Default 98 cats vs. 00+ cats?

If I have to run stock cats, do the 00+ cats flow better than the 98's? If so, how much? I seem to remember reading somewhere that they did, but not sure how much(cfm). I'm trying to figure out if it's worth using 00+ manifolds/y-pipe/cats on my 98' for better flow, or if I should just run aftermarket shorties and 98 y-pipe/cats. Anyone done this with a 98 car, or have any idea of the difference in flow(cfm) between 98-99 cats, 00+ cats, or magnaflow direct replacement cats?

I doubt theres any differance, even if there was it wouldnt be worth mentioning...I know the stock manifolds were better on the 00 and ups but that was about it. If your gonna run shorties I would just get the 00 and up manifolds. They would be alot cheaper and around the same gain...If your going to run headers I wouldnt go any less then mac mids, dont waste money on shorties.
