Default My custom 3" y-pipe w/ flowmaster 4" merge

This is part of a small build I'm doing to my car that I have a thread in the Florida section. Since the exhaust came out so well I figured I'd post it up in here. The exhaust is 1 7/8th's Kooks headers, mandrel bent 3" pipe, dual 3" in 4" out flowmaster merge, 4" cutout, 4" DHM electric cutout (not pictured), 4" to 3" reducer, and stock catback. I used v-band clamps at the headers and after the reducer to mate to the stock catback. I still haven't painted it yet, but will hit that tomorrow. Here are the pics!!

flowmaster merge I got from summit. The rear v-band I got from fleabay. The two fronts on the headers came with them (I got them barely used).

Exactly what I did, except I went with a 3.5" cutout instead of the 4". Looks good.

That tight 90 into the V could be a little straighter for better flow, but im sure at that power level it wont affect too much.

I thought about it, but then remembered no one will see the underside of the car. I might pressure wash it when I move into the new shop, since there's a bunch of stuff that can't get wet around the lift, but the new shop will have tons of room around it.

The problem with running those type of torque arms that mount there is that brace. Duals or a y pipe with good merge will be tight. I usually place the merge 1-2" further back than what you have it so the bend is not as harsh as yours on the driver side. You probably tried that and it would not work because the merge gets thicker and wouldn't fit between the body and the brace.

I think the spohn and umi brace dips lower for more clearance, but you loose ground clearance. Catch 22.

All in all it looks good. Now we need a video to show cutout open vs. cutout closed.

Good job, looks good I need to do something about my y pipe my car is lowered so that doesn't help but my drivers side hangs too low so its beat and scaped to hell I need to buy one of those flowmaster merges(my merge is crap) and fix the driver's side, again good job.
