porting a Nick Williams throttlebody?????

Default porting a Nick Williams throttlebody?????
What exactly is ported on the Nick Williams 90mm throttlebody when they are ported? Is it the ridge just before the throttle-blade?

no ridge, just smoothing a little better, between the inlet taper to the bore size. Unknown gain but one of the little things I dont think would hurt, so I did mine.
