Default What MAF for a FAST 90/90 480RWHP

Right now I have a SD tuned L92 with a FAST 90 intake with a ported GM90TB. I'm real happy with the power and it runs good with the SD tune, but I need to get license plates at my home address so I don't have to register out of town. Without a MAF there is no way to shut off the code for MAF, if I do that, the car won't run. With that code, I will never pass DMV. I drive and tune year around when the weather is good, so having a MAF is not all bad, it may run better than SD.
What MAF can I buy that will not restrict the intake tube? I have a 4" silicone hose from the filter to the TB, I don't want to stick a small MAF in there. What is the part number for the GM truck 85mm MAF, will that work on my 99 Corvette, or is there something better?

you can find an slp 85mm maf for pretty cheap. or if you are just running SD and want to hook up a stock one, you could just connect the plastic part and zip tie it somewhere while it's getting smogged?

I was in the same boat as you with what MAF, I've got a FAST 92mm Intake/TB and I found this on e-bay for my project car. Great price if you don't mind a slight imperfection on the plastic part.

What's needed to run one? Tune as well?

as long as it is a 5 wire on both side (MAF and wire harness) you should be fine

This.

The SLP MAF is a piece of garbage and the developers should be repeatedly kicked in the nuts.

I'm not up on the MAF pieces. What's stock and what is the baddest piece you can get? We just so happened to have a truck MAF in the shop today and it measured about 88mm. Is that the best?

OK, I'm seeing two different part numbers for sale on Ebay.
15904068 and 25168491
It appears that both have a 5 pin connector, does anyone know anything else about either one, like the inside diameter, or outside diameter. Any experience with either ???

Since you're gonna be re-tuning anyways why not go w/ one of the 100mm LS7 style MAF's?

85mm does not equal 4". I have a 100mm LPE MAF for sale that will work great for you. PM if interested.

I've also been wanting to go back to a maf. I've been looking at the lingenfelter 100mm and texas speed also makes a 100mm. with the fast toys104 mm lid should be a good combo, but searches arent doing me any good.

@ blackgoat what do you want for that maf?

I decided to go with the 100mm after talking with the guys over at EFI Alchemy. They said these new card style readers are really nice to tune with. Probably won't see much for gains out of a stockish motor but hopefully with a big h/c setup we will. Hopefully I can get mine bolted on and tuned in the next month or two.

When I first took the MAF out and tuned SD, I had to set the Engine Diagnostics P0101 MAF Performance code to "2 no MIL light" If I set it to "3 No Error" the engine starts and immediately dies.
Maybe I am missing something here. I thought that without MAF I would always have a code. When I tune SD, how do I eliminate the MAF error codes? It's all in Engine Daignostics, right??
