Tensioner Alum pulley! Nice, no throwing belt.
Just thought I would share this....
I was having trouble with belt throw at sustained high RPMs. I know there is one out there for my issue but if I recall its a Kartec or something. Point is I had replaced the tensioner recently and still had issue. However I found this sweet alum pulley that bolts onto the stock tensioner! Best part is, I ran the standing mile and hit over 6.5k on 5 shifts and NEVER had an issue. If I recall the non adjustable Kartec is like 140 or something. This alum pulley is like 85. Note in the pic how high the walls are. This would be a nice way of saving 50 bucks. This guy also has a Power Steering pump pulley. I got tired of the drips from the pump leaking so I bought a reman and slid on that pulley. Real nice. Not trying to build a show engine, but something real clean. I bought it off his web site Nookandtranny.com. Nice guy and real knowledgeable.

no in hell you cant. Look at the pulley again. The sidewalls are way over the top of the belt. Replacement pulleys dont have high walls. I know bc I have bought one. I also had a machinist make me a solid billet aircraft aluminum pulley with high walls out of a chunk of T6061. That pulley he has looks like a very nice piece.

The pulleys work awesome! With the extreem conditions of the standing mile run with sustained high rpms it was great. My oem tensioner didn't hold my belt the last time I ran the event. So I bought a dayco and then bought this pulley after I saw it. Maybe my oem would've been fine but I thought the tensioner was bad. I like it for function and looks! Once I had they pulley, the OE PS pulley looked out of place.
I've bought many parts from Brent, the eld covers too. I've called in my orders and over the net too. He's honest and that's hard to find. He makes many custom parts. Even ones for LS1 swaps into different cars. Hey not trying to plug they guy here, but when you find good people we need to share the info.

I have bought a bunch of car parts from nook and tranny through their ebay account. I will say their prices are sometimes a little high but sometimes they are good. No problems with any shipping.

True.
I have found going direct is best sometimes, prices on ebay are higher due to having to cover those ebay fees. I have found this on several companies. This includes shipping. This is how I first contacted him. I bought on ebay then found at times it was cheaper on his site or calling him.

Just an FYI.....I made my own pulleys and had one major problem, the PS Pulley has a .002" press over the shaft. If the pulley does not have a steel sleeve there is a great chance that it will come off once the engine gets hot. Alum heats up faster then the steel, this happened to me, The pulley got hot and I gas the car hard and it popped off. Since then I have the bolt in the center holing it on!!!
