Default 100MM MAF--overkill?

My winter build consists of adding worked 243s, a FAST 90, PTM 92 TB, and 42lb injectors to the mods I already have in my sig, among other things non-engine related.

I'm wondering now about where my greatest point of restriction will be. Will it be my stock MAF, or will that still support the airflow my engine will be pumping?

Would a 100MM MAF be overkill for my application?

I don't think you would NEED the 100mm MAF at your power level but I'd recommend you least upgrade to the 85mm MAF and a larger air lid.

Then just do the MAF. You can pick up any 85mm MAF but you are going to have to get a tune to make it work properly.

Not exactly sure, I figured they are 78 like the TBs.

Stock '04 is 78mm. Check out SNL's 100mm MAF. It is what I'm running, but you will need to have it tuned.

Why not just go speed density? No need to spend the extra cash on the mass air flow sensor. Gotta get it tuned either way.

I talked to the guys at EFI Alchemy and they recommended the new style 100mm MAF. He said they've tuned a few cars w/ it & liked it alot. Since it looks like you'll be getting a new tune w/ all that stuff anyways it seems it's like one of those might as well mods.
