Default Long tubes for 2002 SS

Are there any long tube headers that will fit on a 2002 SS Convertible w/auto trans? SLP & Kooks say theirs will not work for some reason on a convertible / auto trans set up.

Hmmm. Never heard of that. Call up one of our fine sponsors and I'm sure they could help you get the proper set.

As far as i know the only difference between a vert and a ttop/hard top besides the obvious top and trunk is the factory subframe connectors. Don't see how that would make a difference for headers.

Everyone, here is the direct quote from SLP's page.
NOTES: SLP headers will not fit automatic transmission-equipped convertibles
Same thing for Kooks.

Very confusing, especially for a newbee

Get ceramic coated Pacesetters and save your money. They create the same results as any other 1 3/4 header for a few hundred less.

Found out the answer to my issue. The problem with Headers and Verts is the position of the cross-brace. Found a Camero Hi-Pro shop near Albany Ny, Redline Motors that will re-configering the cross-brace so the headers will fit. Thanks for all of your help & suggestions.

no need.. unless your talking about the flimsy little metal piece that does nothing. Been running pacesetter headers for a while on my 99 auto vert
