Corvette running rich will Fast intake help lean it out??
Like the title says, I have a 2001 Corvette with an ECS cam kit on it. It also has headers, exhaust varam cold air, pulleys, etc. It was tuned by ECS and put down 400 RWHP according to the dyno sheet I was given. My only problem is the car runs very rich. Enough so, that the rear of the car gets dirty from the exhaust (takes about 75 miles till you can make finger marks in it). You can also see black soot in the Borla pipes. I know I am going to have to get this car re-tuned, but I was hoping that if I add a ported FAST intake and ported LS2 throttle body that it would help lean the car out some. Is my thinking correct, or will the computer be able to adjust enough that it will stay rich? Thanks guys.

Installing a FAST intake is the absolutely LAST tool it'd be using to "lean out" a car.
If your tune is off, you need to find a competent tuner first. Throwing an intake on the car will probably make things worse, not better. This isn't 1970, you don't use parts to lean/rich an engine, you use the tuning software that's available.
