There's alot of options, You could have your heads ported and ditch that cam, or go with some AFR/TFS with a decent cam and handle it.

budget?
manual trans or auto?

TFS 215s if you have the budget.
then any one of a dozen cams off the shelf or custom. something like the Torquer V2, FMS F14, polluter, TRak

you have money for a FAST 92? that will make it alot easier

more budget oriented might call for something like the TFS "as cast" heads, or some TEA LS6 heads

so many options...so many price tags

you'll likely need a pretty big cam to do it in an auto.

and with that you'll need a bigger stall...which will make it harder to reach your goals.

best thing is to not get hung up on dyno numbers since its an auto.

put a good cam for your intended use (street, street/strip, strip only), and the best heads you can afford. and a good tune

Not necessarily. People do it pretty regularly with cams smaller than yours and ported heads.
