Default O2 Exstentions !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my friend is getting pacesetter headers for his GTO. and i was wondering if instead of buying O2 sensor extensions, could he just cut the wires and but splice wires to it and make the wires longer?

DON'T use the extensions that come with the headers. Buy the extensions from one of the sponsors on here. Believe me, it's just a bunch of headaches when you start splicing wires, whereas if you buy them all you have to do is plug them in.

If he bought the headers new, pacesetter should have included the wire and butt connectors to splice the wires. To answer your question, YES, you can just splice them. However, you may run into issues down the road with weather proofing, or the butt splices coming apart. The $40 towards plug and play extensions will be worth it.

Like mentioned above you can cut and splice them but you will more than likely be replacing O2 Sensors and extensions fairly quickly down the road. Between the heat from the headers and weather conditions the car gets driven in, the cut and splice method doesn't hold up all that well. We can get you a set of extensions out today for $40 for the pair plus the ride. Let me know if we can help!

I know you have to use a specific kind of wire you cant just use any old wire because it wont have the right resistance and wont work right
