Default 6.0 long tubesTaking suggestions on what

type of duals to use on my 6.0 in my 89, i have a set of LS1 swap headers that cost more than i want to say, but i want to use a X pipe with my single chambers and dump it before the rear end.

Sound good or are there any that want to say a H pipe or regular duals would benefit me better?

Mods will be, home ported 317 milled .030, on the LQ4, vic jr intake with pro form 750 carb, trex cam and the only accessories are WP and alternator.

I used headers to an X pipe to Borla mufflers dumped on my chevelle, and it ran real well. I didn't like the rasp, so I had a couple of dynomax bullets welded in about where cats might have been. BTW, this was a heads and cam ls1 m6. It seems to me that an x pipe would be the best option, when it will fit in the design of the system.

The headers look nice, who built them?

You'll want to have some sort of crossover pipe, whether it be an H, or an X. I've heard that H-pipes give a little better, deeper sound, but the X will give you a few more crank hp. I had a 3" H-pipe, with single chambers, ran under the axle to the bumper on my bolt-on LS1. I plan on keeping it for my LQ4 too. I like the sound of it. Still has a little rasp though. Might throw a pair of high flow cats on it to help get rid of it.

Sounds pretty damn good, i know it will be different with the cam and what not in a 6.0 but i can live witht he rasp it has in that vid, as long as it is not over the top like the bullet mufflers, basically a damn glass pack.

lol. Yeah. The rasp isn't bad, but rasp bothers me, even when it's only that much. So, I'll end up throwing some bullets or cats in after the collectors probably, to see if I can get rid of it. I'm hoping it'll sound even better on a H/C 6.0.

haha. Me too. Mine might be more like 4-5 weeks though. Depends on if I can get some stuff sold and what all else I need to buy.
