Default Ported TB and LS6

How much hp can a LS6 intake and stock ported TB support on a 346? I'm sure there is some subjectivity to this, but est?? My cam lift is .600 and heads flow 301 at .600, if that is even relevant.

Thank you for the reply, but I was leaning more towards how much total engine hp it will support. Like 400, 450, 600 rwhp.

I think mightymouse was doin like 700hp on his. I may be wrong tho. It's been awhile since I read that issue of GMHTP. I personally know of a couple of guys who were making a lil over 500hp with the LS6 and stock ported TB also. So yeah it'll hold.

700 hp is alot! The Fast stuff is pricey but its been proven to do good things. A painted Fast is beautiful under the hood also

I agree, but tapped out at the moment, and just assembled the short block yesterday. I'll get it together and see how the tune goes. A neighbor at the shop is heas of R&D at Painless Wiring, and told me a stock LS1 TB flows something like 800 cfm.

I think 800cfm is about right. I'm making 420rwhp on H/C setup, with 150 shot it should put me around 550 or so.....

I read in a Summit Racing Catalog that ls6 are only meant for 425 hp. Guess not obviously. Just wondering why they would say that...
