you didn't mention tuning. It's not always obvious, but tuned yet?

prolly a set of headers, cam, u/d pulley, set of heads, and a tune should do it....a cam in the high 22x/22x or low 23x/23x should work well

228r is a great cam I hear. depending on your budget I would try for heads and Cam and a tune.. or Cam and a tune. Just keep in mind though that with more power comes for pain for other parts. Im guessing its an M6 from the 4.10's you have in there so you might need a clutch soon and the 4.10s are hard on those 10 bolts so a new rear might be in the future.. Some people get lucky and can beat the **** out of there rear some people dont get lucky and have to rebuild it at 45K miles like me...
Either way a good tune should always be up on top of your list.

I would stay clear of the Mail order tune to rely on. In all honesty I think im gonna attempt a Frost mail order tune 1) because I have heard nothing but great things about his work 2) I live in the middle of Iowa so for me to get to a dyno I require a little drive. So its just a temp thing for me till i can get to a dyno.. Alot of people dont like the mail order tune but im gonna take a risk since a generic mail tune might run better than stock tune. This is my logic but im sure some will disagree

that list is reallly short, alot you can do before heads/ cam... this is what ive done/ am going to do:
160 stat, 12 bolt, shifter, shift light, dyno tune, !weight, headers, y pipe, catback, ls6 intake, ported TB, kn, cai, lid, !egr, !air, drs, tq arm, lcas, sfc, stb, FULL tune up, wires, um im sure im missing something but do all of that and everything else you can find before touching internals, just my opinion though

if i were to heads/cam my motor today, id go with tsp 5.3 2.5s without a doubt, cam with 228r or something a lil bigger, i like 230/230 cams or anything around that size, 232/230

but thats just me

ALSO: the reason im not heads.cam my motor is because your bound to have oil leaks and other problems so im just ganna get an ls3... heads/cam power, stock drive-ability and gas mileage
i may put a healthy cam in it though, the stocker doesnt do those heads justice

Im with this guy on the head/cam choice. I have PredatorZ's El Torro Cam and I love it deeply. Its 230/230 111 LSA. Check my fquick for full specs.

I vote ported LS6 heads and like the Tv2 or MS3 Cam. Both produce some good numbers. Then dont forget oil pump and timing chain. Get a nice tune and that should get you into the 11's
