Help: Anybody drop the motor out the bottom WITHOUT a lift?
Hey guys,
I've disconnected almost everything to drop the motor out of the bottom (and the top). But I'd rather go the bottom route so I could assemble the new block OUTSIDE the car and then slide it back under the body.
Anyway, I don't have access to a lift, just my car sitting in the driveway. As of right now I can't get my hands on a hoist for a few weeks. Is there any other way to get the car up high enough? I saw a few people say that they used two or three (idk why three?) jacks and some blocks of wood to get the car high enough. Does that sound like it'd give me enough clearance?
Thanks everyone

That's what I thought with the jacks.. I thought it'd be risky too, but like 5 people said thats what they did.
So, what do I do, hook an engine hoist up to somewhere under the hood? Should I bolt my strut tower brace back in and lift the body up from there? I don't own an engine hoist so idk what to do.. Are they expensive?
