The stock weather stripping for the Volant boxes won't seal to a WS6 hood since the box was designed to seal to a non-ram air hood. I used the bubble gum test on my stock box and not all if stuck to the hood.

To get the box to seal properly (to a ram air hood), you need to get something a little more substantial. What I've used is about a three foot length of foam insulation that's used for copper pipes.

You can find it in the plumbing section of any home improvement store. It's cheap, comes in black or gray, and is pre-split down the center. Some of them even have an adhesive strip on the inside of the split that'll help keep it attached to the box. I've simply slipped mine right over the stock weather stripping. Works great, seals nicely to the hood, and even looks stock... kinda sorta.

Yeah... what he posted. There are other pics of Volants, including mine, in various threads. A search should find them fairly easily. Mine's the red WS6.
