Default LT Headers easire to install with trans out?

The m6 on our 2000 TA will be out and I wondered if it would make it easier to put in the LT headers from SLP. They is also an off road y as well. I'm assuming yes. Thanks for any replies.

No, not really. The tranny isn't really in the way to start with.

The biggest issues with installing long tubes are the low low section of the shock tower/body to engine on the passenger side and the steering on the drivers...

I dont see it being any easier with the trans out. Trans is not in the way at all. Depending on headers its usually just the drivers side that gives people a problem and either the steering shaft or motor mount pedistal get in the way.

I installed longtubes headers on my lt1 with the trans out and I thought it made it a lot easier when working from the bottom just because it gave me so much more room to work. It also gave me a better angle to slide the headers in place (from bottom). I would say if your trans in already out, to go for it now.

Trans has nothing to do with it. All depends on which header your using as to how the installation will go.

Get the car in the air high as you safely can, 30" minimum is what you need they go in almost vertical.

Some will require the starter or the steering knuckle be moved.

you need to have the car high enough to angle the header up in and not hit the primaries on the ground.
