Default SpinTech Mufflers

Hey just wondering who is running spintech mufflers and how they sound. Ive listened to alot on youtube but its hard to get a sense of how loud they are on the computer. Anyway on my 04 GTO i have Flowmaster Super 44's. IK want something louder that sounds very good without being too loud.

Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks

I had a FM Super 44 and a Spintech SC, the Super 44 sounded better, and the Spintech SC wasn't any louder then the FM Super 44.

I like Spintech for the sound of the higher rpms. At idle it sounds just like a flowmaster. When you rev it is when it sounds differently. I have the 4 inch mufflex/spintech setup.

I had an SLP dual/dual on the car and swapped out the muffler for a spintech sc. Was noticably louder at idle than the slp, but almost everything is louder than the dual/dual at idle. Bottom line is that the spintech had a nice deep sound to it and not overly loud. Wanted it even louder and have since gone to a gmmg. Very happy with the gmmg.

I had spintech pro street mufflers on my 96 impala ss but before those i had flowmaster super 40's. The spintechs were alot louder because they were alot smaller case size than the flowmaster. They did sound similar at idle but when you get on it it was more raspy sounding than the flows. The flows seemed to quiet down and you heard the motor more than the exhaust. Now spintech makes the super pro streets which are probably even louder. Anyway I loved my spintechs and would love to put one on my camaro but they only make one muffler for the f-body and its to big and not loud enough for me. Good luck dude.

I have true duals with dual spintechs. Love them. At idle its throaty but not obnoxious. On the freeway in 6th gear its very mellow and does not draw unusual attention. Look at my sig to for more info. On the freeway, when I drop gears to "move"-that gets attention!

If you do a search you'll find that everybody that's heard the spintech mufflers likes them but I kept seeing people saying they don't flow well. I don't know how true that is.

Spin Tech has so many different models, and configuration, it would really depend on which one you have as to how well it flows.

I had a Sportsman SplitCase 344SC 3" inlet 3" dual outlet; I thought it flowed really well.

I am a big time believer in the Spintech muffler. I was a Dyno Max (Ultra Flow) muffler guy forever, but when the Spintech owner/rep showed me flow results in comparison to Hooker, Flowmaster and Borla mufflers, I was floored. Still a bit reluctant to purchase, due to not being able to 'hear" the muffler, I convinced one of my big block customers to purchase a set. Long story short, his built 396 big block in his 1973 Camaro sounds really good to me. I have now switched my love from the Dyno Max (still a great muffler though) to Spintech!
Awesome power and sound IMO.

Youtube link of my customer's built 396 with dual exhaust/Spintechs.
