Default F-Body CAI Project (photos)

Well, started my CAI project over Christmas vacation. Just finished the first third of it today. I have spent at least 40 hrs a week since Christmas and have gone through 6 #4 bottles of Argon on it. It was ridiculous the time I spent on it.

Middle of January I tossed the first one aside and started over.

I had clearance issues and lots of dimensional changes from heat. Hindsight I would have used thicker sheet aluminum.
The part I finished seals the bottom 2 openings of the Ram Air hood. This will allow me to cut ovals in the hood and it will now have 4 openings feeding the air box.
The next part will include a flat over the radiator and making up an airbox with 2 K&N filters.
The top of the box will have acover and the whole ting will be sealed and connected to the hood Ram Air exit.
The outlet to the intake will be 4.25"

The seals and that crazy curved middle seals perfectly with the hood,
its +/- .010

I also had to redesign the backup hood release.
