Default idler hits bracket

putting motor back together and now my idler pulley is hitting the alternator bracket, anyone have a exploded diagram if the alternator bracket, seems like a washer is missing

there are two washers on that pulley...they are thin washers.....1 in front....1 behind....their main function is to keep dirt out of the bearing rather than being a spacer....did you change out pulleys? there are two different types....the difference is size

ahhh........you got the new bracket.........which does not fit the old pulley.....you need the new pulley..........new bracket GM 12563327....new pulley GM 12563326.......mine was 60$ at the dealer.....also i special odered from pimp boys..........DAYCO 89159......40$........not many carry the new design pulley....or you could put on the old bracket back on.....every one has that old style pulley in stock

the new bracket and pulley was a mid 2000 yr change under a TSB to cure belt noise

i tried to get the new style pulley from napa.....they said they did not have it.....after i tried to install the old style.....which of course does not fit the new bracket
