Default Would car misfire if plug wire wasn't on all the way?

My buddy took his car(01 ss) for a ride today. He got a misfire. I checked things over and found a plug wire wasn't on all the way. Would that cause a misfire? He's at work now, so I don't know if that fixed it.

That fixed it. He called after work last night and said the car runs great now.
