stupid question but...can i fit 2000+ longtube headers on a 98?

Default stupid question but...can i fit 2000+ longtube headers on a 98?

Found a good deal on some flp headers, problem is their made for a 98 year model? can i still install them and if i cant what do i need to do/fabricate to make it work? i cant imagine how much more different one ls1 year header to another

Yes you can fit them on a 98. 98-02 actually. Now buy them already, lol

the only diff i think is the placement of the air or egr fitments...........if you dont have those........smooth sailing

They may have hook ups for the EGR, which I believe was not offered on some 00 and all the 01-02 cars...anyways you can block them off. Post a pic of them and we can tell you if they hav the EGR, they will fit!

Actually, I bought some headers for my 98' trans am and they were off of a 2001 camaro. The driverside header was hitting the steering shaft! These were hooker super comp headers so I am not sure if they are gonna hit the same or not.

crap i mustve wrote this wrong, i have a 98 camaro and bought 2000+yr flp headers, they should fit right?

i got block off plates for the headers, now do i need to remove the air or egr system for these to fit in my 98?

Well if you have block offs and don't need to pass emissions then go ahead and get that junk out of there. real simple to do.

get rid of the air and egr and get them tuned out. They are just in the way anyway.
