They're hit or miss heads. What size valves? Chamber size?

I'm still putting it back together. I had the computer sent to speed inc. I'm going to try to take it there for a full dyno tune.

Are both those prices for new or used heads though...I can see the 1295 for new heads, while the 600 for used...?

The $1295 was new. I tried getting them through Patriot at first but they were 5 weeks out. They told me that they had just sold some to Jeg's so I called them and got the heads for that price.
If those are brand new at $600 without springs that is one hell of a deal. You can get Comp Cams double springs for under $400.00. I'm not sure about the titanium retainers though.

Yea, thats what I was thinking, the 1295 you paid isn't a bad price for the heads, I assume you got the package with springs, at least I don't think so.

I just picked up a set of used Patriot 243s and made the numbers listed in my sig. At first I was alittle dissapointed until I found out it was a load bearing dyno, so dynojets would read 8-10% higher, plus I know my wheels don't help those numbers. Just picked up a ported Fast 92, so I'll be interested to see how much that picks up.

I'm in the middle of putting my mods together. I'm going with the patriot heads, LS6 intake, ported and polished throttle body, 224/226 .581 112 lsa cam, pacesetter long tube headers and no cats, SLP underdrive pulley, 3200 stall, 3.73 gears, lower control arms, panhard bar and subframe connectors. I am really hoping for 400 rwhp and torque. I guess we will see.

I think you should be close to those to your goal. I did Patriot 243 heads, TR 228/232 cam, LS6 intake, Kooks LT, catted-y, borla exhaust and my big *** wheels got 392/385, which is 420-430ish on a dynojet. My car only has the 3.23 gears, so your car should be alittle fast tool.
Good luck with your build, post jup the results when you get them.
