Default SLP Lid VS. FTP 104mm

I've been looking around and haven't seen much of anything on the 104mm Lid. So I got rid of my SLP lid and I'm about to put a 104mm from FTP on it.

I have a SUX2BU style ram-air, going up to the FTP 104mm LID, through 4" piping, into a carb. hat, then through the Accufab 4150. SD tuned.

Any thoughts?

I was looking at getting one over this Spectre. But being I'm not boosted I didn't want to spend that amount of money if it didn't gain anything.

I guess I'll have to give it a try pretty soon anyway.

I was also looking at the CSU but there're so many different people with different opinion/views on how both the EV and CSU worth especially with the split in the EV.

Was kinda curious between the Spectre and the EV for my setup being a non-boosted application

i've always pondered the same thing.

ANOTHER thing i'd look into, which could result in some damn strong gains (but also could cause clearance issues)

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WSN-024110

taller would be better, i've never seen one on an ls1, but i know carb guys pick up 20hp on an engine dyno. phenolic is better as it helps keep heat outta the TB. keeps the air colder longer.

Only down side to that is that it's for a 4500 flange. I bet it would work good on a 4500 adapter setup though.

Thats one of the reasons I put the Plate on it in the first place was for height, then I started actually using it . I bet it would help to match the intake to the plate though since there's a lot of "over hang".

I might have to give this stuff a try. should probably do one at a time and see if anything gains or loses ET/MPH.

Time to shop for a new carb hat and look into the plates. My 104mm lid won't be here until next week.

Yeah SD tuned.

Here's the setup with the SLP which I think is the bottle neck of the setup as well as the carb. hat, then the extra porting I could do to the intake, and them stock 243 heads I have .
