Default AIR doesn't fit after Pacesetter Headers Install

I just bolted everything down and started putting my AIR tubes/pipes in. I guess I'm using washers, thin bolts and nuts to put them in since the Pacesetters aren't threaded like the manifolds were.

In any case, if I bolt the metal AIR tube on the drivers side down, I have about 3 inches between the nozzle and the AIR hose. The hose doesn't stretch any either. Anyone else have this problem?

I got a TSP catted Y too, so I don't want to foul my cats.

Sure you have the driver's side AIR tube bolted to the driver's side?

Might sounds stupid, but I know someone who spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why the hose didn't reach only to discover he was trying to put the passenger side AIR tube on the driver's side.

Ok, sorry to hijack but this just brought up a question now. So if you run a catted Y pipe you have to run the AIR EGR tubes on your headers?

Well, I have a 2001 so I have no egr, but I believe if you have cats and remove AIR you'll foul your cats much quicker.

Oh, btw, I did get them to fit. I just brute force pulled that metal AIR pipe and bent it a little to meet the hose.

Care to explain. I'm just trying to learn. I understand your EGR is recirculating etc. To better burn all the crap right? So as not to pass through your Cat so much?

AIR is to heat up your cats quicker when the car is cold. It is only for assisting with emissions, nothing at all to do with longevity of the cats themselves. The AIR pump shuts off after like 30 or 60 seconds anyways.
