Nice work tho!

That's quite a write up! This will also be useful for the intake removal walk thru. I've found on the F-Bodies that if you rotate the back of the intake to the left (counter-clockwise) it helps to keep from snapping the OPS off. I never had a problem with it because I read SO much about it on here.
Thanks bro, I'll fix that right away. I don't know how I missed it as I actually knew that! It was a long write up and I have found little mistakes along the way. Thanks to you sharper guys here, we'll get this thing perfected yet!

Not from me! I have no idea of what this evil is you speak of! I maintain computer networks for a living. Working on cars is an adventure for me!

^ Nice clean up job after and during! Sometimes the good thing about tearing something apart is getting to clean stuff up... The engine detail spray works wonders, especially for the garage queens.

Actually, I'm a clean freak when it comes to my cars and my garage, everything else however looks like hell in a hand basket! I drive the hell out of this car when I can so she doesn't quite qualify as a garage queen. She has 115,000 plus miles on her and I plan to put quite a few more on her this year too. I travel around the country putting on detailing seminars. The great thing about having a clean engine is you can stick your hands in there with your Sunday suit on and not come out looking like a grease monkey!

Excellent write-up. It's good to know there are still people on tech who give out GOOD advice and how-to's without any B.S.

Thanks Rob, just giving back out of respect to those who gave before me. I hope to keep that attitude flourishing around the automotive forums.

Damn! Where was this Write-up last fall when I had my intake off to install my LS6 Intake and Valley Cover?!

I may have to tear my intake off again in the future and when I do, I'll definitely be using this writeup to upgrade my OPSU.

Great job, man. Thanks for posting up!

Very detailed, takes a lot of effort to coordinate pics with meaningful text, and takes a lot of patience to snap pics while something frustrating is happening.

Good job
