Default ls6 intake man install questions

im about ready to install my ls6 manifold and have heard people take off the fins and some keep them on i guess a personal preference so im prob gonna take um but i was wondering should i just take them all off or what any advice would be appreciated thanks

you have to either grind the fins or change to the ls6 coolant crossover tubes.

Take off the fins, it only takes a few minutes... i used a hammer and chisel... very easy to do!

also, there are two green clips holding wires that go to the knock sensors.....you've gotta remove those......then take a hammer and lightly tap the metal coolant lines down as close to the valley pan as you can....i was kind of nervous before i installed mine, but once i got going, it was on in about an hour....torque to spec in sequence 44in lbs, then 89 in lbs.....good luck

I chiseled all the fins off mine. Took about an hour then I dremeled the rough edges down!
