Exclamation TUNER's .. exhaust CUTOUT !! HELP

1 3/4 headers to 3.5 y pipe all the way to stock cat back ... electric CUTOUT in Y pipe ... plan is to dyno tune with cutout open ...... but need to cruise almost always with a quite exhaust = closed cutout ... what are the bad parts in this proccess ....!!

You'll be fine. My car was tuned with the cutout open and I have it closed 99% of the time, no issues.

As long as you have your MAF sensor still enabled and working, itll still be accurate.

It might throw off a speed density tune a little but on my car it is only a few percent difference in fueling. Keep your o2s enabled for closed loop, itll be able to adjust even if in speed density mode.

So do your dyno tune in the idle/cruize area with the cutout closed, and do the WOT with it open.
